Downtown The Dalles
 

      
 Once the site of the Native American "New
      York" at mighty Celilo Falls on the Columbia River, the
      town of The Dalles is packed with history. The City recently
      embarked on an upgrade to its sidewalks, and is installing these
      traditional lamps that hearken back to the nineteenth century
      origins of the downtown.
