This modern clock
is located beneath the monstrous Rainier Tower, an unfortunate
1970s hulk built on a pedestal that completely dwarfs the surrounding
streetscape. A corner of the Rainier Tower can be seen in the
upper left of the first clock photo, looming over this corner
of Rainier Square. The clock commemorates Jim Ryan, who developed
this office complex.
