Sidewalk Benches Seattle, Washington

Groups of neo-traditional wood slat benches at Seattle's Westlake Plaza are arranged back-to-back in zig-zag patterns (right) that reflect the paving pattern of the plaza, and offer a variety of views for visitors. The benches are grouped to take advantage of protection from the elements by "groves" of honeylocust trees (left) and to create a comfortable space within the generally open plaza.
