Cascade Avenue in Sisters, Oregon Ponderosa Pines

One of the greatest assets in Sisters are groves of large Ponderosa pine, a massive species native to the area, and who red bark and distinctive needles are an important visual cue in establishing the western character of the town. These trees grow in landscape bays that were designed around them during the redevelopment period.
