Cascade Avenue in Sisters, Oregon Sisters Main Street

Straddling busy Cascade Avenue (aka Oregon Highway 20 or Santiam Highway), Sisters has managed to redevelop a compact downtown of traditional storefronts that recalls the historic look of the town (shown below, in the 1920s on what was then called McKenzie Highway). Though the road serves as a major freight route between Central Oregon and the Willamette Valley, parallel parking and only two travel lanes make it a great main street.
