There are at
      least a dozen installations of public art sprinkled throughout
      the renewal district, including these wall fountains along Evergreen
      Avenue, a local street which parallels "A" Avenue.
      The attention to art distinguishes the Lake Oswego effort from
      most municipal main street and downtown projects. While these
      features may seem costly or a low priority, they can also be
      a key ingredient in building renewed community appreciation and
      support for a downtown.
