Oak Avenue Benches
 

      
The constraints
      of a nine-foot sidewalk are evident in this view along Oak Avenue.
      Though the individual street elements are excellent, the narrowness
      of the outer utility portion of the sidewalk prevents benches
      from being located there. This sets up awkward situations where
      the travel area meanders around periodic bench installations,
      and the pedestrian clear area between street fixtures often drops
      to just four feet -- too narrow to reasonably serve pedestrians.
