Bricks & Mortar Reno, Nevada
In one of the most spectacular paving plans in the western United States, the City of Reno spared no expense or detail in creating elaborate plazas along the Truckee River. Mostly composed of marble tiles, this design is somewhat slick when wet, but is a great option in Reno's dry desert climate. The color scheme is repeated in retaining wall blocks and painted fixtures (below) and is consistent with the flambouyant casino district, nearby.
